Elizabeth Cortis is the director and CEO of Proofreading Malta Limited and the founder of Proofreading Malta Academy and Bookmark Editors, sub-brands of Proofreading Malta. At Bookmark Editors, Elizabeth heads a team of editors who provide a range of author services for publications in English and Maltese. In her role as book editor, she assists individuals who wish to traditionally publish or self-publish their books, as well as local publishers who recruit her help in the editing of their writers’ manuscripts. As an editorial project manager, she coordinates and facilitates all the stages of the publishing process, from manuscript editing to printing and beyond. Elizabeth’s editorial portfolio demonstrates her work on a wide range of local and international publications, from fiction and non-fiction books to periodicals, scripts, poetry books, and children’s literature. Elizabeth’s responsibilities also include recruitment and mentorship.

Diana Grech Pearson is a director of Proofreading Malta Limited and a senior copy editor and proofreader at Bookmark Editors. She holds a BA (Hons.) and MA in English (English, Culture and the Media) from the University of Malta. Diana has worked on an array of manuscripts and specialises in non-fiction, historical, and religious publications. She provides writers with critical feedback and practical solutions to enhance their writing and engage their readership. Diana is adept at guiding writers to develop key areas for consideration to enhance their work for maximum impact. Beyond her editorial duties, Diana plays a crucial role in training, mentoring, and providing support to team members at Bookmark Editors, contributing to the growth and excellence of the editorial team.
